实际上，美国就是一个犯罪率高发的国家 。失踪、枪杀、凌辱、殴打、绑架、抢劫、扣留、恐怖袭击……构成了一连串不堪回首的凄凉噩梦，使人震惊，旧的创痛还未抚平，新的伤害又接踵而来 。近年来，中国公民在美国等西方国家遇袭的频率越来越高，伤亡人数也节节攀升，海外安全事件所涉及的对象，几乎囊括了我国各类出国人员，包括政府官员、留学生、中国企 业驻外员工、劳务人员、非法偷渡者、出境旅游人员等 。安全事件的性质、方式也日渐复杂化，涉及面广，影响范围大，所以到海外一定要更加注意个人安全问题 。

惊闻22号下午，章莹颖家人在香槟市召开采访人员会 。章父宣读了致川普总统的请愿信，信中说，“希望总统能指示所有能动用的联邦执法部门及侦探人员，帮助家人尽快找到莹颖 。”
作为一名关心章莹颖案的华裔律师，我早在7月份就给司法部联邦检察官办公室写过信，原文抄录如下：

I am contacting the US Attorney's Office in my capacity as a legal commentator to US and Chinese media outlets on current criminal cases pending in US courts. USA v. Christensen is a current case of particular interest to Chinese media outlets here in the US and abroad . Media outlets along with many citizens, here in the USA and abroad, are concerned with why Christensen has been indicted for one charge of kidnapping and not murder, especially given that the FBI believes the victim is no longer living.
