Else 是个副词 ， 可用在以 any-、every-、no- 和 some- 开头的一群单词后面来表示“其他；别的；另外”的意思 。包括不定代名词： anybody, everybody, nobody, somebody
anyone, everyone, no one, someone
anything, everything, nothing, something
还有副词： anywhere, everywhere, nowhere, somewhere
(或美国口语的 anyplace, everyplace, no place, someplace)
例如： Anybody else would have condemned his foolish behavior. (换了谁都会谴责他的愚蠢行为)
Owen stayed at work when everybody else had gone home. (别人都回家了 ， 欧文还在工作)

Else 亦可用在 how, what, where, who, why, whatever 和 whoever 等疑问和关系代名词后面来表示“其他；别的；另外”的意思 。例如： What else did Tom tell you? (汤姆还告诉了你什么？)
