The start of the cherry blossom season in Japan normally takes place in March/April. This year, however, something truly bizarrehas taken place: the cherry blossoms have made an appearance in October.

According to WNI, a Japanese meteorologywebsite, there have been 354 reported cases of cherry blossoms across the nation so far, from the moresub-tropicalshores ofKyushuto the chillierrealmsofHokkaido.
